Rugby League is the toughest sport in the world and when you talk about rugby league nothing beats the NRL competition in Australia. Sixteen of the best sides in the world battle it out over a 22 round regular season to qualify for a gruelling finals series to uncover the best club team in the world.
The great thing about this competition is that the teams are all closely matched with every one of the 16 clubs having series aspirations of making the finals later in the year.Last year’s winner, the Manly Sea Eagles have lost their first three matches this year including two loses against the Bulldogs and the Panthers who finished in the bottom of the competition last year.
888Sport is proud to announce that they will be offering betting on all NRL games this year. It’s an exciting competition and nothing beats winning a few dollars by backing your favourite team. We will even give you rugby futures and tips throughout the year to help you make the right decisions.
This season there are some excellent match ups but there are a few specials hidden in amongst the games. The Melbourne Storm returns home to host the Gold Coast Titans after two very hard matches in Queensland. They will enjoy getting back to their loyal fans and should easily cover the spread especially if the Gold Coast’s star half back, Scott Prince is still injured. Cronulla take on the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium in Sydney’s inner west and may have too many guns for the young and inexperienced Dogs. This interesting clash will see former Sharks star, Brett Kimmorley take on his old team for the first time.
Our last selection is the North Queensland Cowboys who travel down south to play the Canberra Raiders on Monday night. As long as the Cowboys don’t freeze in the cold Canberra autumn they should have more than enough fire power for the Raiders.
