Aussie Rules footy fans will get what they have been wanting all year when the two undefeated sides of the AFL go head to head for the first time this year. Both the Geelong Cats and the St Kilda Saints have won 13 games from 13 starts but only one will maintain the perfect record at the end of this weekend.
888Sport has the two teams as clear Premiership favourites with the Cats at $1.91 and the Saints at $4.00. The Cats were expected to come out roaring after they lost the Grand Final last year as short priced favourites. The jury was well and truly out on the Saints on the other hand as many experts considered that their playing list had had enough chances and that time may have passed them by.
$1.91 seems a good price about the Cats to win the flag regardless of what happens this weekend. The Cats only have one goal and that is to be the only team left standing at the end of September. Remaining undefeated throughout the season would be nice but it is far from their driving force. The Saints on the other hand will be desperate to show that they can at the very least compete with the Cats. Expect the Saints to throw everything at the Cats and try and put a strangle hold on the game. For this reason I will certainly be having a few dollars on the Saints at the line against the Cats this week at 888 Sport.
The other huge game of the weekend that 888Sport will be betting on is Friday night’s blockbuster between the Magpies and the Bombers. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the game regardless of how either team is travelling. 90,000 people will crammed into the MCG for what promises to be one hell of a game. Both teams are flying and with the last game between the two sides being decided in the last minute one can only get excited at what might happen this Friday night.
