Double Victors at the WSOP

Greg ‘FBT’ Mueller has won Event 50# the $1,500 Limit Hold’em Shootout. The win is most interesting because it has seen him join three other players who have also won two bracelets at the 2009 WSOP.

In a day and age where it is nearly impossible to win one bracelet, Mueller has joined a very special club. Mueller appears to be the king of Limit Holdem poker as it was in Event 33# the $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold’em where he won his first bracelet a few weeks ago.

The other three double champions include Phil Ivey, Brock Parker and Australia’s very own champion Jeffrey Lisandro. There are reports that Ivey has won a small fortune (i.e. millions of dollars) on betting on himself to win not only one but two bracelets. It is rumoured he will win even more money if he is lucky enough to snap up his third.

The WSOP Main Event is just around the corner and people are flocking from all corners of the globe to try their luck for overnight fame and fortune. Among them will be a huge team from the fastest growing online poker room 888Poker. Included in that group will be Australia’s very own ‘King Of Spin’ Shane Warne and boxing World Champion Jeff Fenech. They will join online qualifiers and the winners of 888 packages of the Shane Warne Bounty Event held at Crown Casino, flying the flag for 888 Poker and more importantly the Aussies trying their best over in Vegas.
